My name is Gert-Jan de Ruiter, or easier GJR. I’m living in the small town of Zierikzee in the Netherlands. I’m working for an middle sized auditing firm in this region.

I got infected by the whiskyvirus late april 2010, so you could say i’m an novice to the wonderfull world of whisky. But allready Ihave build a very nice collection of bottles (For a quick overview see Whiskybase). Also I’m an member of the Dutch Usquebaugh Society and the International Whisky Society.

I want to point out that I’m trying to keep my blog writing in more or less correct English, but I haven’t been writing in English for a long time, so probably there will be some or even quite a lot mistakes, I hope you will forgive me for these mistakes and enjoy following me into the explicit world of whisk(e)y !!
